On Tuesday, the Moscow Regional Court considered Brittney Griner’s appeal to leave the nine-year prison sentence unchanged

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has avoided commenting on the court's decision regarding the sentence handed to US basketball player Brittney Griner. He stressed that any contacts about the possibility of her exchange could take place only on the conditions the media kept quiet on the issue.

"We do not comment on court decisions. We always say that all contacts concerning possible exchanges can be carried out only amid complete media blackout and silence," Peskov said.

On Tuesday, the Moscow Regional Court considered Griner’s appeal to leave the nine-year prison sentence unchanged. The verdict has come into force. In the near future Greiner can be transferred to a penitentiary.
