Clinic in Bavaria refuses to receive patients from Russia and Belarus - TV

This step has stirred a lot of criticism in social network

BERLIN, March 9. /TASS/. A German clinic has refused from receiving Russian and Belarusian nationals over the developments in Ukraine, RTL, a German television channel, reported on Wednesday.

According to RTL, a private clinic in Munich has said it will not offer its services to patients from Russia and Belarus. It said it "strongly condemns Russia’s invasion backed by the Belarusian government." "That is why, from now on until a further notice we will not treat Russian and Belarusian citizens," the television channel quoted the clinic’s notification.

This step has stirred a lot of criticism in social network. Thousand of users slammed it as a manifestation of racism and non-tolerance, the TV channel said, adding that the clinic has admitted its mistake. It was not said however whether this decision has been cancelled or not.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address on February 24 that in response to a request by the heads of the Donbass republics he had made a decision to carry out a special military operation in order to protect people "who have been suffering from abuse and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years." The Russian leader stressed that Moscow had no plans of occupying Ukrainian territories.

Following this step, the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom and several other countries announced sanctions against Russia individuals and legal entities.
