MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. At least seven flights have been canceled and 28 more delayed at Moscow’s airports after a heavy storm with strong winds tore through the Russian capital on Saturday.
As of 20.00 Moscow Time, twelve flights have been delayed at Sheremetyevo airport. Domodedovo cancelled seven flights and delayed six more, says the Yandex. Timetable portal.
Twelve flights are delayed at Vnukovo. However, flights from Zhukovsky airport are to take off and land on schedule.
Twenty people are reported to have been injured in a gale. Seven are hospitalized.
Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that a 12-year-old girl was killed by the storm. One person is reported dead in the Moscow region.
