Ukraine’s demilitarization in full swing, military infrastructure destroyed — spokesman

"Demilitarization is in full swing indeed", Peskov said

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Ukraine’s demilitarization is in progress, and its military infrastructure has been destroyed largely in the Russian special military operation, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in an interview with Belarus-1 channel on Saturday.

"Demilitarization is in full swing indeed. Ukraine’s military potential and military infrastructure are largely destroyed in our armed forces’ special operation. It is truly one of the goals of this operation, a very important goal," Peskov said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24 launched a special military operation in Ukraine following a request for help from the leaders of two Donbass republics. He stressed that Moscow had no plans for an occupation of Ukrainian territories, its sole aim being the country’s demilitarization and denazification.
