MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. The attacks by the Kiev regime on Russian energy infrastructure, including the strike on the Sudzha gas metering station (GMS), clearly illustrate the true value of the assurances coming from Vladimir Zelensky and his team, Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov remarked during a news briefing.
"The actions of the Kiev regime are well-documented in numerous media reports, and relevant footage has also been published," the Kremlin spokesman noted.
"Therefore, it is evident how much we can trust the words of Zelensky and other representatives of the Kiev regime," he added. "This, by the way, is a point we have repeatedly emphasized in the dialogue with our partners."
"This information speaks volumes about the untrustworthiness of Zelensky and his team," the Russian presidential spokesman stated.
In the early hours of March 21, the Ukrainian military blew up the Sudzha gas metering station, a key conduit through which Russian gas once flowed to Europe. The Russian Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case regarding the terrorist attack.
This act of terrorism occurred despite assurances from Kiev of its desire for a ceasefire and contrary to agreements reached between Moscow and Washington the Russian and Ukrainian military should refrain from targeting energy infrastructure. Following a conversation with US President Donald Trump on March 18, Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin ordered an immediate cessation of strikes on such facilities.
