MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. The Kiev regime goes to great lengths in its terrorist activity, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a news briefing, commenting on an attack on Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea, foiled by the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
"This situation shows that the Kiev regime goes to great lengths. Nothing is sacred to it, and this has just been confirmed once again," he told reporters.
Earlier, the FSB reported preventing an attack on one of Russia's religious leaders. The attack was orchestrated by Nikita Ivankovich, a Russian cantor, and Denis Popovich, a Ukrainian aide to Metropolitan Tikhon. They had been planning to detonate an explosive device under the orders of Ukrainian security agencies.
