US 'grooms' Kurdish separatists in Syria — top Russian diplomat

The Americans are using the profits from the oil and grain sold to help the separatists, Sergey Lavrov said

MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. The United States is "grooming" some Kurdish separatists in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

"Well, we had a deal when this crisis started. We organized the Astana process [with the participation of Russia, Turkey and Iran]. We meet regularly. Another meeting is being planned before the end of the year or early next year, to discuss the situation on the ground," the top diplomat recalled.

"The rules of the game are to help the Syrians to come to terms with each other and to prevent the separatist threats from getting strong. That's what the Americans are doing in the east of Syria, when they groom some Kurdish separatists using the profits from the oil and grain sold, the resources which they occupy," he pointed out.
