BRICS to serve as coordinator of integrative processes in various regions — Lavrov

According to the top diplomat, today, along with regional integrative processes, which "are significantly stepping up and increasingly trying to deal with the prospects of their economic development on their own, global-level integrative processes are developing"

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. BRICS may stimulate genuinely just and fair mechanisms for regulating international relations, as well as serve as a potential coordinator for integrative processes in various regions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

According to the top diplomat, today, along with regional integrative processes, which "are significantly stepping up and increasingly trying to deal with the prospects of their economic development on their own, <...> global-level integrative processes are developing."

"In this sense, BRICS is like a potential coordinator of the integrative processes underway at the regional level. And BRICS is already a truly global association, and, of course, BRICS can stimulate effective efforts in the name of a truly fair, just mechanism or even mechanisms for regulating international relations," he pointed out.
