Wreckage of unidentified object found in field in Volgograd Region — authorities

In early February, air defense systems in the Volgograd Region thwarted a drone attack on the region but the crashed drone triggered a fire at a Lukoil oil-processing plant

VOLGOGRAD, February 20. /TASS/. The debris of an unidentified object has been found in a field in the Yelansky District of Russia’s Volgograd Region, while no damage or casualties have been reported, district head Dmitry Litvinov told TASS.

Earlier, regional media outlets and Telegram channels published photographs and information about the wreckage, which was discovered not far from the village of Vyazovka, Yelansky District. It may have resulted from the crash of an as-yet-unidentified military aerial vehicle.

"There are no [damaged buildings or casualties]. [The wreckage] is in a field, far from any residential areas. Everything is completely calm," a local source said.
