BEIJING, December 19. /TASS/. Relations between Moscow and Beijing have reached the highest level ever, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
"Today, Russian-Chinese relations of comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation are at the highest level ever recorded in their centuries-long history, and they continue to develop at a steady pace," Mishustin noted.
According to him, regular meetings between the heads of government play an important role in the process, which are based on the consistent work of five intergovernmental commissions led by deputy prime ministers.
Mishustin also pointed out that the governments of Russia and China were working to achieve the strategic goals laid out by the leaders of the two countries.
"The most important thing is to take our trade and economic cooperation, as well as investment cooperation, to an even higher level and provide a new quality of mutual trade by diversifying it," the Russian prime minister emphasized.
