Russia not to close doors on people of culture from unfriendly countries — Lavrov

"We insist that culture go beyond politics, any conflicts, any crises. The arts should have no borders," the foreign minister stressed

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russia is ready to cooperate with all countries in the cultural domain and will not shut out any people from unfriendly countries working in this realm, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday.

"We are ready to develop cooperation with everyone in this area (culture - TASS), including, first of all, those countries whose governments want to develop contacts in this sphere, but not closing the door on cultural professionals from any countries with unfriendly governments," he said at the 41st meeting of the Council of Heads of Russian Regions.

"We insist that culture go beyond politics, any conflicts, any crises. The arts should have no borders," he added.
