‘Geopolitical string-pullers’ using situation in Middle East in their interests — Putin

Russian President said that they "will be using their destructive consequences to sow hatred, set people at odds across the world"

NOVO-OGARYOVO, October 30. /TASS/. The situation in the Middle East is being used by ‘geopolitical string-pullers" in their selfish interests, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Monday.

"Those who are behind the conflict on the Middle East, other regional crises will be using their destructive consequences to sow hatred, set people at odds across the world. This is a real goal of such geopolitical string-pullers," Putin said at a meeting on the situation in Dagestan.

He recalled what the current Middle East crisis had started with - a terror attack on citizens of Israel and other countries. "We see that instead of punishing criminals and terrorists, regrettably, they are avenging being guided by the principle of collective responsibity," he stressed.
