EU’s imagination drying up — Russian Deputy PM

"Russia will certainly cope with needles and radiators," Denis Manturov noted

MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Counterparts in the European Union have their imagination "dried up," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said, commenting on the preparation of a new package of sanctions against Russia.

"The imagination of counterparts from the European Union has dried up. We will certainly cope with needles and radiators," Manturov told reports on the sidelines of the Promspace national industrial congress.

On Friday, October 20, the EUObserver web portal reported that closed-door talks on a new package of anti-Russian sanctions may start during the coming weekend or next week. According to the web portal Russian diamonds will be included into the twelfth package of sanctions. Furthermore, according to web portal data, Lithuania suggested banning supplies of nails, sewing needles and knitting pins.
