MOSCOW, October 23. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed command posts of two Ukrainian regiments and inflicted damage on enemy manpower and military hardware in more than 150 areas over the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on Monday.
"Operational/tactical and army aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile troops and artillery of the Russian groupings of forces inflicted damage on the Ukrainian army’s personnel and military equipment in 153 areas," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, Russian forces obliterated the command posts of the Ukrainian army’s 53rd mechanized brigade, the National Guard’s 15th regiment and the 38th surface-to-air missile regiment in areas near the settlements of Umanskoye and Serebryanka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Ingulets in the Kherson Region, the ministry specified.

Russian forces struck Ukrainian army units in the Kupyansk area, eliminating roughly 195 enemy troops and a multiple launch rocket system over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, units of the western battlegroup capitalizing on the results of air strikes, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires repulsed nine attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 32nd and 41st mechanized, 57th infantry and 68th jaeger brigades in areas near the settlements of Sinkovka and Ivanovka in the Kharkov Region and Novoyegorovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. Near the settlement of Olshana in the Kharkov Region, a Ukrainian subversive and reconnaissance group was neutralized," the ministry said.
The enemy lost "as many as 195 troops, three armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles, a Grad multiple launch rocket system and a D-20 artillery gun" in the Kupyansk direction over the past 24 hours, the ministry specified.
In addition, Russian forces wiped out a Ukrainian ammunition depot near the settlement of Stepovaya Novosyolovka in the Kharkov Region, the ministry said.
Russian forces repel 12 Ukrainian attacks in Krasny Liman area over past day
Russian forces repelled 12 Ukrainian army attacks in the Krasny Liman area, killing and wounding roughly 480 enemy troops over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, active operations by units of the battlegroup Center, air strikes and artillery fire repelled 12 enemy attacks near the settlements of Grigorovka and Kirovo in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Chervonaya Dibrova in the Lugansk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The enemy lost "as many as 480 Ukrainian personnel killed and wounded, four armored combat vehicles, three motor vehicles and a D-30 howitzer," the ministry specified.
Russian forces also inflicted damage by firepower on the personnel and military equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 63rd mechanized brigade near the settlement of Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and the National Guard’s 15th regiment near Serebryanka in the DPR, the ministry specified.

Russian forces repulsed a Ukrainian army attack and destroyed roughly 165 enemy troops in the Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Donetsk direction, an attack by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 77th air assault brigade was repulsed by active operations of units from the southern battlegroup supported by aircraft, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires near the settlement of Bogdanovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, Russian forces inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army near the settlements of Umanskoye, Semyonovka and Orlovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The enemy’s losses over the past 24 hours totaled as many as 165 personnel, two armored combat vehicles, four motor vehicles, an Msta-B howitzer and a D-30 artillery gun," the ministry said.
Near the settlement of Novomikhailovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian ammunition depot, it said.

Russian forces eliminated roughly 160 Ukrainian troops in the south Donetsk area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the south Donetsk direction, active operations by units of the battlegroup East, assault and army aircraft strikes, artillery and heavy flamethrower fires inflicted damage on manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian army’s 65th and 72nd mechanized, 58th motorized infantry and 128th territorial defense brigades in areas near the settlements of Ugledar, Staromayorskoye and Urozhainoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic," the ministry said.
The Ukrainian army’s losses in the south Donetsk direction over the past 24 hours totaled as many as 160 personnel and three motor vehicles, the ministry specified.
Russian forces repulse 7 Ukrainian attacks in Zaporozhye area over past day
Russian forces repulsed seven Ukrainian army attacks in the Zaporozhye area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Zaporozhye direction, units of the Russian battlegroup supported by aircraft and artillery fire repulsed seven attacks by assault groups of the Ukrainian army’s 82nd air assault brigade near the settlement of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region," the ministry said.
Russian forces struck Ukrainian manpower and military hardware in areas near the settlements of Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka in the Zaporozhye Region, it said.
"The Ukrainian army’s losses totaled as many as 80 personnel, a tank and three armored combat vehicles," the ministry specified.
Russian forces destroy 90 Ukrainian troops in Kherson area over past day
Russian forces destroyed roughly 90 Ukrainian troops and two enemy howitzers in the Kherson area over the past day, the ministry reported.
"In the Kherson direction, as many as 90 Ukrainian personnel, three motor vehicles, a Grad multiple rocket launcher and two D-30 howitzers were destroyed as a result of damage inflicted by firepower," the ministry said.
Russian air defenses destroy 19 Ukrainian military drones over past day
Russian air defense forces destroyed 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry reported.
"Air defense capabilities destroyed 19 unmanned aerial vehicles in areas near the settlements of Verkhnekamenka, Kremennaya and Zolotaryovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic, Kirillovka, Berestovoye and Spornoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic and Krynki in the Kherson Region," the ministry said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 508 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 253 helicopters, 8,176 unmanned aerial vehicles, 441 surface-to-air missile systems, 12,882 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,169 multiple rocket launchers, 6,853 field artillery guns and mortars and 14,583 special military motor vehicles since the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, the ministry reported.
