UNITED NATIONS, September 23. /TASS/. Moscow is in consultations on Europe’s security crisis with friendly countries and expects them to draw the necessary conclusions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference on the sidelines of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
"The European security crisis continues," he noted, adding that Russia maintained contact on related issues with Asian, African and Latin American nations.
"We hope that the politicians who are used to seeing and analyzing facts will draw some conclusions," Lavrov added. According to him, such people are few but they are still there.
The Russian foreign minister explained that the European security crisis was the result of "the West’s years-long attempts to turn Ukraine into an anti-Russia entity, prepare to drag it into NATO, and encourage the Kiev regime that came to power in a coup, as well as to create direct threats to Russia along our borders and destroy all things Russian in Ukraine.".
