FSB thwarts attempt by Ukrainian saboteurs to infiltrate into Bryansk Region

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The border control department of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) for the Bryansk Region prevented an attempt by a group of 20 Ukrainian saboteurs to infiltrate into Russia, the governor of the western Russian region reported on his Telegram channel on Thursday.

According to Governor Alexander Bogomaz, "The border control department of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) for the Bryansk Region prevented an attempt by a group of 20 Ukrainian saboteurs to penetrate Russian territory," the governor of the western Russian region reported on his Telegram channel on Thursday. "The enemy was fired on and routed by units of the Russian Armed Forces with assistance from border troops," he added.

On Thursday morning, Bogomaz reported an attack by Ukrainian nationalists on another locality in the same district. No one was injured in the incident, which resulted in partial damage to 10 private homes and an automobile.

Located in the southern part of the Bryansk Region, the Pogar District is bordered by Ukraine’s Chernigov Region.
