According to Alexander Shulgin, it is no surprise that the Netherlands keeps on taking unfriendly steps toward Russia, since it is an unfriendly country

MOSCOW, March 13. /TASS/. Moscow will be ready to take steps towards resuming bilateral cooperation with The Hague should they want that, Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin said on Monday.

"If they want to return to normal relations, we will be ready to meet them halfway to the extent they are ready to develop our relations, to resume our cooperation," he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel.

According to the Russian diplomat, it is no surprise that the Netherlands keeps on taking unfriendly steps toward Russia, since it is an unfriendly country.

"Naturally, we reject the Dutch’s claims, their allegations about Russia in the context of what is going on in Ukraine. We are warning that the responsibility for the further dismantling of Russian-Dutch relations will rest entirely on the Dutch side," he stressed.
