China’s top diplomat confirmed continuity of course on cooperation with Russia — Lavrov

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. China’s top diplomat Wang Yi confirmed the continuity of the Beijing’s course on cooperation with Russia during the visit to Moscow in February 2023, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Friday in an interview with the Channel One TV.

"Wang Yi during talks in Moscow with me and with [Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolay] Patrushev and during the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin clearly confirmed the continuity of the Chinese leaders after the last congress of the Communist Party of China in respect of the course on coordination, cooperation with Russia, implementation of looking-forward bilateral projects and the responsible joint behavior at the international stage, where we comprehend how much depends on the role of Russia and China in ensuring stability of the situation," Lavrov said.

The Minister also noted that he had seen the continuity of the Chinese foreign policy in statements of China’s Foreign Minister Qin Gang during the meeting on the sidelines of the G20 Ministers Meeting in New Delhi.
