MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The recent terror attack staged by Ukrainian saboteurs in Russia’s southern Bryansk region bordering Ukraine was among the topics Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council on Friday, Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
"A discussion took place. <…> Naturally, they touched upon and discussed in detail the situation linked with the terror attack in Bryansk. Measures will be taken to prevent such incidents in the future," he said, adding that the participants in the meeting looked at measures "to ensure security of strategic facilities that are protected by our special services."
On Thursday, Ukrainian saboteurs penetrated into a border district in the Bryansk region. According to official data, two people were killed. According to Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), its officers together with the Russian defense ministry forces took "measures to neutralize the armed Ukrainian nationalists who violated the state border." President Putin described the incident as a terror attack.
