Lavrov reports leaks of lethal weapons from Ukraine to flashpoints abroad

Russia’s top diplomat highlighted the fact that the surge in terrorism has largely been due to outside interference by the West in the domestic affairs of sovereign states

NEW DELHI, March 3. /TASS/. Supplies of lethal weapons from Western countries are "leaking" from Ukraine to conflict flashpoints abroad, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at the plenary meeting of the G20 Ministerial Council on counter-terrorism, digital transformation, humanitarian assistance and disaster risk reduction in New Delhi on Friday.

Russia’s top diplomat highlighted the fact that the surge in terrorism has largely been due to outside interference by the West in the domestic affairs of sovereign states.

"A new breeding ground for extremism has been fomented in Ukraine since 2014. The Kiev regime is being pumped with weapons in an unrestrained manner, nationalist battalions covered from head to foot with Nazi emblems and tattoos are receiving open support, and recruitment of mercenaries from NATO countries as well as international terrorists is ongoing. There is factual evidence that lethal weapons have been flowing out from Ukraine to international flashpoints," Lavrov said, according to a statement published on the Russian Foreign Ministry’s website on Friday.
