MOSCOW, February 22. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet for talks later in the day with Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and member of the CCP Politburo, Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Wednesday.
"Putin is in the Kremlin today. His late afternoon agenda will be devoted to foreign policy issues. Putin will receive Wang Yi, who is currently on an official visit to Russia and is in charge of the Chinese foreign policies," he said.
Peskov noted that Wang Yi already held extensive talks with Russian Security Council chief Nikolay Patrushev and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
The presidential spokesman added that Putin was also scheduled to hold a meeting today with South Ossetian President Alan Gagloyev. Media is free to be present at the opening of both meetings, Peskov noted.
