Senator: Russian air defenses to wipe out all Western jets in 2-3 months if Kiev gets any

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier on Tuesday that battle tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and ammunition were now a priority for the bloc in weaponry deliveries to Kiev while "the issue of aircraft is not the most urgent issue now. But it is an ongoing discussion"

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Russian air defense systems will be able to wipe out all Western aircraft in two to three months if these warplanes are delivered to the Kiev regime, Viktor Bondarev, former Russian Air Force chief and chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, told TASS on Tuesday.

"Let them supply them. Our air defenses operate splendidly. We will knock out all their supplies in the next two to three months. But they will still need to learn how to operate them and this will require about six to twelve months," he said, responding to a question about how the potential deliveries of Western warplanes to Kiev could impact the special military operation in Ukraine.

The UK-based newspaper, The Financial Times, earlier reported that some US officials were allegedly ready to send combat aircraft to Ukraine, if the conflict drags on, or authorize the re-export of F-16 fighters in service with the armies of other countries.
