Foreign mercenaries can't change course of military operation — Kremlin

Dmitry Peskov stressed that the mercenaries' involvement only could prolong the events and bring more suffering to Ukrainian people

MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Foreign mercenaries who fight on the side of the Kiev regime are incapable of changing the course of Russia’s special military operation and will only draw it out, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Tuesday.

"Is it [the Kiev regime engaging foreign mercenaries] capable of changing the course of events? No, it’s not," the Kremlin official said. "We repeat: yes, it can prolong the events, it can bring more suffering to Ukrainian people but it is not capable of changing the course of events," he stressed.

Putin’s press secretary emphasized that for a while now, it has been no secret that foreigners fight on the Ukrainian side. "It is not a secret that our troops on the frontline hear the foreign speech of foreign mercenaries. These are not recent developments, this has been going on for a while," he stated.
