EU may impose sanctions against four Russian banks — media

Last year, the European Union introduced nine packages of sanctions against Russia

BRUSSELS, February 13. /TASS/. The European Union may impose sanctions against four banks, including Alfa Bank, as part of the tenth package of sanctions against Russia, the Politico newspaper reported on Monday, citing diplomats and officials.

The newspaper does not specify the names of other banks that may also fall under sanctions.

According to it, the permanent representatives of EU states are now informing the authorities of their countries about the proposals of the European Commission, and on Wednesday, they will discuss a new package of sanctions.

Last year, the European Union introduced nine packages of sanctions against Russia.
