Installation of fourth span on left side of Crimean Bridge completed — Deputy PM

It is planned to launch traffic for cars and buses on both sides of the Crimean Bridge in March 2023

MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. The installation of the fourth span on the left side of the motorway part of the Crimean Bridge has been completed, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin wrote on his Telegram channel.

"The construction workers have completed the sliding of the fourth, last span at the left motorway part of the Crimean Bridge. They finished it five and a half hours earlier than planned," he wrote.

After the span takes the design position, the builders will be able to start laying asphalt, installing lighting and barrier fences, the Deputy Prime Minister added.

It is planned to launch traffic for cars and buses on both sides of the Crimean Bridge in March 2023.

A truck blew up on October 8, 2022, on the Crimean Bridge, subsequently damaging two spans of the bridge’s roadway segment, while the tanks of a neighboring freight train caught fire. To date, railway traffic on the Crimean Bridge has been restored. On December 5, 2022, traffic was resumed on the right motorway part of the bridge. The reconstruction of the left motorway part is underway.
