MOSCOW, January 31. /TASS/. The movement of cars and buses on the Crimean Bridge was resumed early on Tuesday after repair work, the Russian Transport Ministry said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

"Today at 6:30 a.m. Moscow time the movement of cars and buses on the Crimean Bridge previously suspended for repair and restoration activities was resumed," the statement reads.

Earlier, the movement of cars on the Crimean Bridge was temporarily closed from 12 a.m. on January 31.

A truck exploded on the Crimean Bridge on October 8, 2022, causing several fuel tanks of a train to catch fire. Two spans of the bridge’s roadway toward the peninsula collapsed. On December 5, 2022, motor vehicle traffic on the right part of the bridge’s highway section was resumed. Repair activities are currently underway to reconstruct the left side of the bridge’s highway section.
