Russia’s opponents look for any pretext to go ahead with escalation — MFA

It is reported that now the situation has obviously "drifted into the plane of politicization"

MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. Russia’s opponents are looking for any pretext for increasing pressure on Moscow and for moving along the path of escalation, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said in an interview with RTVI on Thursday.

"We are aware that our adversaries are looking for any excuse and any pretext for stepping up pressure and moving along the path of escalation," he said, while answering a question about the reaction to the missile incident in Poland.

"When it all happened (a missile incident in Poland - TASS), of course, it was necessary focus first thing on what had taken place in reality," Ryabkov emphasized. "The Russian Defense Ministry very promptly dotted the ‘I’s."

Now the situation has obviously "drifted into the plane of politicization."

"Our enemies are trying absurdly and absolutely stubbornly to blame us for what happened. This is just a reflection of the depth of their fall they have suffered through their own fault."
