Ukrainian army deliberately targets buildings under reconstruction — Donetsk mayor

According to Alexey Kulemzin, repeated strikes on residential buildings and infrastructure prove the intentional nature of the Ukrainian military’s actions

DONETSK, October 5. /TASS/. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are deliberately shelling residential areas and infrastructure included in the Donetsk People’s Republic’s (DPR) reconstruction program, Donetsk Mayor Alexey Kulemzin said on Wednesday.

"We have information and confirmed evidence that Ukrainian militants keep conducting systematic and repeated strikes on facilities included in the reconstruction program," he told the Rossiya-24 TV channel. "Those are solely civilian facilities, residential buildings and infrastructure sites. These shelling attacks <...> are causing damage," the Donetsk mayor noted.

According to Kulemzin, repeated strikes on residential buildings and infrastructure prove the intentional nature of the Ukrainian military’s actions. The Donetsk mayor stressed that Ukrainian troops had information on the DPR’s infrastructure and its reconstruction because they conducted air reconnaissance and received intel data from NATO countries.

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin said in late June that Russian regions were engaged in construction and installation works at 200 sites in Donbass.
