Several countries actively work on dismembering Ukraine, says top security official

It is noted that Russia aims to protect the Donbass residents and rid Ukraine of neo-Nazis and radical nationalists

KAZAN, May 31. /TASS/. A number of countries are actively working on dismembering Ukraine, the actions by the Kiev regime as well as by the US and its allies lead to the country’s breakup, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council Nikolay Patrushev said.

"They (the US and its allies - TASS) tell us that ‘we are for Ukraine to remain sovereign, for its territorial integrity to be preserved.’ Yet we know that quite a few countries are already actively working on dismembering it," the top security official said at a meeting on ensuring national security in the Volga region in Kazan on Tuesday.

"In this case, Ukraine’s sovereignty does not concern the head of state, let alone the US and its allies who are ready sacrifice the interests of Ukrainian people for the implementation of their geopolitical goals. Their actions lead to a real breakup of the country," he stressed.

According to him, Vladimir Zelensky, "by declaring Donbass residents as separatists and engaging in military actions with them, intends to provide Poles with a special status, including the possibility of assuming top public positions and essentially provide the citizens of another state with rights for Ukrainian territory."

That said, Russia aims to protect the Donbass residents and rid Ukraine of neo-Nazis and radical nationalists, the top security official noted.
