Putin, Erdogan agree on new contacts — Kremlin

Leaders agreed on other contacts in the light of further strengthening of mutually beneficial ties, including in spheres of energy, transport and tourism

MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday discussed results of the recent visit of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak to Turkey and agreed on new contacts in their telephone conversation, the Kremlin’s press service said on Monday.

"Results of the recent visit of the Russian delegation to Turkey headed by co-chairman of the Russian-Turkish intergovernmental commission, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak were discussed. Leaders agreed on other contacts in the light of further strengthening of mutually beneficial ties, including in spheres of energy, transport and tourism," the press service said.

Presidents had the in-depth exchange of opinions on the topic of bilateral cooperation, in the trade and economic sphere in the first instance, the Kremlin said. "The significant growth of the mutual trade turnover was noted," the press service said. "Certain issues of regional policy" were covered during the conversation, the Kremlin added.
