Several houses, school damaged in shelling of village outskirts in Kursk region — governor

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties among the civilians

KURSK, May 26. /TASS/. Several houses and a school were damaged when the outskirts of the Vorobzha village in the Kursk region were shelled by Ukraine on Thursday, the region's governor Roman Starovoit reported.

"Clarifications on the situation in the Sudzhansky district: the enemy attacked the outskirts of the Vorobzha village. Our military struck the targets, but the enemy managed to damage several houses, including a school building: the windows in it were broken," Starovoit wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary information, there were no casualties among the civilians. The village of Vorobzha is located about 20 km from the border with Ukraine’s Sumy region.

Over the past three months, the border districts of the Kursk region were repeatedly shelled by Ukraine, one person was killed. Russian air defense forces shot down several Ukrainian drones.
