LPR forces make further gains, liberate township of Toshkovka

Retreating Ukrainian forces destroyed civilian infrastructure and residential buildings before leaving the town

LUGANSK, May 25. /TASS/. Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) forces have taken Toshkovka, a small town with a population of about 4,000 people, under their control, Spokesman for the LPR People’s Militia Ivan Filiponenko said on Wednesday.

"We are in Toshkovka," Filipenko said in a video post on Telegram. "The People’s Militia forces have kicked the enemy out of the town."

Retreating Ukrainian forces destroyed civilian infrastructure and residential buildings before leaving the town, he added.

LPR forces continue to move ahead in liberating the republic’s territory, "pinning the enemy down in the area of Lisichansk and Severodonetsk," Filiponenko said.
