MOSCOW, May 24. /TASS/. Russia has not yet received an invitation to the food summit, the EU and Egypt are going to hold in June, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

"I don’t know if we have the invitation," Peskov said.

The Kremlin representative recalled that Russia is a very large player in the international grain and food market, as well as a major supplier to a number of countries.

"We know that now the whole world has entered a very crisis period due to illegal restrictions, which are now being applied to Russia and Russian suppliers by a number of Western and not only Western countries. Of course, we believe that this topic [food security] should be discussed as widely as possible," he added.
