Transnistria ready for dialogue with Moldova - Foreign Minister

But the Moldovan authorities must stop blackmail, Vitaly Ignatiev said

CHISINAU, May 1. /TASS/. Tiraspol is ready to engage in dialogue with Chisinau, but the Moldovan authorities must stop blackmail, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the unrecognized Transnistria Vitaly Ignatiev told TASS.

"If the Moldovan side had not been stalling for two months and implemented the draft decisions prepared at the expert level, summed up by Transnistria and sent to Moldova and other participants in the international 5+2 format, this would have allowed to normalize the situation much earlier, returning the possibility of importing about half of blocked medicines in demand. Transnistria is ready for dialogue, but Chisinau needs to give up destructive blackmail and pressure," he said.

On Friday, the Bureau for Reintegration of the Moldovan government told TASS that Chisinau would unblock exports of medicines to Transnistria. Commenting on this, Ignatiev stressed that Tiraspol focuses "only on practical actions, not on declarations".
