Defense Ministry says Kiev government orders executions of mayors for contacts with Russia

"The government in Kiev banned mayors from any contacts with the Russian side, including about organizing humanitarian corridors," Mikhail Mizintsev said

MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. The government in Kiev banned mayors from contacts with Russians and ordered executions of those who disagree, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Center for Defense Management said.

"The government in Kiev banned mayors from any contacts with the Russian side, including about organizing humanitarian corridors," he said. "All who disagree are simply shot and killed."

Mizintsev blamed Ukraine for a failure of the evacuation from the city of Izyum to the city of Lozovaya. "That was the route and the humanitarian corridor that the Kiev government proposed to us," he said. "Mines have been placed on the traffic routes while Ukraine’s territorial defense units use small arms and mortars to fire on sections of the road on the outskirts of the city of Lozovaya".
