MOSCOW, February 13. /TASS/. An accident has occurred at a mine in Solikamsk in central Russia's Perm Region, claiming two lives.

TASS has gathered the key facts about the accident.

Circumstances

- A rock collapse occurred at the potash mine of the Russian Uralkali company in Solikamsk.

- The company noted that the production facilities are currently operating normally.

Casualties

- Two people were killed in the accident, Russia's Perm Region Governor Dmitry Makhonin reported.

- Uralkali PJSC press office told TASS that two employees of the SKRU-3 mine were fatally injured when a salt rock spontaneously detached during routine shaft inspection work.

Investigation

- The Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the mining accident.

- Investigators will assess the facility’s adherence to industrial safety and working conditions, as well as compliance with safety rules.

- The Russian Investigative Committee's office for the Perm Region has opened a criminal case regarding the workers' deaths.
