Special aircraft brings Kyrgyz citizens injured in plane crash near Aktau to Bishkek

The plane arrived at the international airport in the Kyrgyz capital on the night of December 30

BISHKEK, December 30. /TASS/. Three Kyrgyz citizens injured in an airplane crash near the Kazakh city of Aktau were brought to Bishkek by a special aircraft, the Kyrgyz Emergencies Ministry reported.

"Three Kyrgyz citizens injured in the airplane crash in the city of Aktau, Republic of Kazakhstan, were taken to Bishkek and placed in the National Hospital of the republic," the ministry stated.

The plane arrived at the international airport in the Kyrgyz capital on the night of December 30. The injured Kyrgyz nationals are currently receiving medical care.

Immediately after the crash, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov ordered the preparation of a special aircraft to transport the wounded to Bishkek. All three Kyrgyz citizens on board the airliner survived the crash, though one is in severe condition.

An Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190 plane headed from Baku to Grozny crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. The aircraft carried 67 people, including 62 passengers and five crew members. They were primarily citizens of Azerbaijan, as well as nationals of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. According to the latest data, 38 people, including seven Russians, lost their lives, while 29 others survived. Nine Russian survivors were taken to hospitals in Russia.
