Bus with miners crashes in West Siberia, casualties reported

MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS/. A bus taking miners to work got into an accident in Russia’s coal-producing West Siberian region of Kemerovo on Friday, an unknown number of people died, a spokesperson for the Raspadsky coalmine told TASS.

"The bus was carrying workers to their shift. All passengers were employees of the Raspadsky coalmine," the source said, adding that casualties were reported.

He was unable to provide further details, including how many people were killed or injured.

"Investigators, road police were called to the scene," the source added.
