State Duma to review draft law on one-time payment to pensioners

MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. The State Duma is going to review in the first reading a draft law on a one-time payment in the amount of 5,000 rubles ($80.4) in January 2017 to every pensioner.

According to the draft law, in January 2017, a one-time payment in the amount of 5,000 rubles ($80.4) is expected to be made to people permanently residing on the territory of Russia, and receiving pensions from the Russian Pension Fund as of December 31, 2016. The funds should be provided by the regional bodies of the Pension Fund at the expense of the federal budget.

It is assumed that money will be paid, "regardless of the person receiving other payments, and provided social support measures." The payment sum is not taken into account in determining eligibility for providing other benefits and social support measures provisioned by the legislation.
