MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. Natural gas reserves in European underground gas storages (UGS) plunged below 35% for the first time in three years and totaled less than 39 bln cubic meters, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) data.
The net offtake (the difference between the offtake and injection volumes) exceeded 67 bln cubic meters from the start of the heating season.
The rate of withdrawal from EU’s UGS on March 16 amounted to 256 mln cubic meters, according to GIE. The injection rate increased to 51 mln cubic meters.
European UGS are currently 34.84% filled. Regasification facilities of LNG currently have capacity utilization of 51% from the maximum.
