BRATISLAVA, February 11. /TASS/. Ukraine is receiving natural gas by transit via Slovakia, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico wrote on his page in Facebook (banned in Russia, owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in Russia).
"Gas is flowing to Ukraine via a backup pipeline. Ukraine would get frozen without this gas, but Slovakia is not related to it. Foreign companies are suppliers," Fico said.
Slovakia has the moral right to consider options for terminating gas pumping by foreign companies with the daily volume of about 7.5 mln cubic meters, the prime minister continued. "These foreign supplies from Europe to Ukraine increase the pressure on gas prices even further. Europe is making a mockery of itself. Ukraine can inflict any damage it wants to it. Europe [cannot] actually do [anything to Ukraine]," Fico noted.
The West intends to weaken Russia by the conflict in Ukraine, the prime minister said. "This will not happen," he noted. Ukraine "will pay the highest price," Fico added.
