Sales of new cars in Russia to total around 1.8 mln units in 2024 — first deputy PM

The production of cars will stand at around 980,000 units in 2024, Denis Manturov noted

MOSCOW, December 26. /TASS/. Sales of new cars in all segments in Russia are expected at around 1.8 mln units by the end of 2024, with sales of passenger cars reaching 1.5 mln units, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said.

Growth of both the market and production is projected at around 30-40%, he said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

"The market overall will reach around 1.8 mln cars by the end of the year, with passenger cars equaling 1.5 mln [units]," he said.

The production of cars will stand at around 980,000 units in 2024, including about 750,000 passenger cars, Manturov added.
