Russia ranks third by number of tourists visiting Seychelles in 2023

Germany contributed the highest number of visitors, with a total of 54,925, followed by France with 42,410 visitors

PRETORIA, January 11. /TASS/. Russia climbed to the third position by the number of tourists visiting the Seychelles last year, the country’s Tourism Department said.

"The breakdown of the visitor statistics revealed that Germany contributed the highest number of visitors, with a total of 54,925, followed by France with 42,410 visitors and Russia with 38,172," the Department said. The tourist traffic moved up by 20,000 people over the last year and climbed to 350,879.

The first week of January 2024 showed a strong increase by 33% year on year as regards the tourist traffic, Minister for Tourism and Foreign Affairs of the Seychelles Sylvestre Radegonde said.
