MOSCOW, October 30. /TASS/. Restrictions on acquisition of corporate securities of issuers from unfriendly countries are planned to remain for unqualified investors in the near time, according to guidelines of Russian financial market development in 2024 and the period of 2025-2026.
"For purposes of safeguarding investors against sanction and infrastructural risks, individual restrictions are planned to be kept in the near time - in particular, for acquisition of securities of issuers from unfriendly countries for unqualified investors," the paper reads.
The Bank of Russia obliged brokers since January 1, 2023 to suspend performance of any instruction of an unqualified investor on an increase in the securities position of foreign issuers from unfriendly nations.
