Poland purchases almost twice as much liquified petroleum gas from Russia as whole EU

Last year the country bought 710.3 mln euro worth of LPG from Russia, while the whole EU spent $417 mln on Russian LPG

WARSAW, April 3. /TASS/. Poland still remains the largest importer of Russian liquified petroleum gas (PLG) in the European Union, with the volume of purchases rising, the Polish newspaper Rzeczpospolita reported on Monday.

Last year the country bought 710.3 mln euro worth of LPG from Russia, while the whole EU spent $417 mln on Russian LPG.

The share of propane-butane equals 13.8% in Poland, which makes it the seventh-most popular fuel type in the country.
