Moscow is against grain deal expansion

"I would like to stress that exactly exports of Russian agricultural commodities and fertilizers is the main contribution of Russia to provision of global food security," Sergey Vershinin said

GENEVA, March 14. /TASS/. Russia is against expansion of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and views unblocking of its food and fertilizer export as a priority in supporting global food security, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin told reporters.

"As I understand, this refers to wishes of the Ukrainian side," the Russian diplomat said. "Our attitude towards it is negative. We assume that the UN and the UN Secretariat should keep the neutral objective position and not to play into the hands of the Ukrainian side in this case," Vershinin noted.

"I would like to stress that exactly exports of Russian agricultural commodities and fertilizers is the main contribution of Russia to provision of global food security," the diplomat added.
