All Russian partners interested in making payments in national currencies — Lavrov

It is reported that Russia is being implementing the use of national currencies with all BRICS countries for a long time

NEW DELHI, March 2. /TASS/. Absolutely all Russian partners are interested in making the transition to payments in national currencies, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday at a press conference after the G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting.

"All our partners, not merely those we met here but also those with whom we communicate at a different time, in other places during our visits to them and during their trips to our country, everyone without exception are interested in widening the use of national currencies in our mutual trade," Lavrov said.

Russia is being implementing the use of national currencies with all BRICS countries for a long time, the top diplomat said. "The share of payments in national currencies is growing steadily, on and on, and so it will continue further on," he added.
