MOSCOW, February 28. /TASS/. The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and India have stepped up contacts on the issue of creating a free trade zone recently, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin said in an interview with TASS.

"Contacts between the EAEU and India on that issue have intensified recently, though it is early to speak about particular agreements," he noted.

That said, the dialogue with Israel remains frozen. "After six rounds the negotiations process with Israel was almost frozen a couple of years ago due to the lack of real benefit for the Union from concluding such an agreement considering Tel Aviv’s position on its terms," Pankin explained.
