Russia to extend $1.74 bln loan to Belarus — press service

It is noted that import substituting cooperative projects will be implemented in Belarus

MINSK, November 16. /TASS/. Russia and Belarus signed an agreement on extension of the 105 bln Russian rubles ($1.74 bln) credit to Belarus for implementation of import substitution projects, press service of the Belarusian Council of Ministers said on Wednesday.

"The intergovernmental agreement was signed on the extension of the credit to Belarus amounting to 105 bln Russian rubles for import substitution projects. The relevant document was signed today by finance ministers of Belarus and Russia," the press service said.

Import substituting cooperative projects will be implemented in Belarus, the press service noted. "Both parties have already affirmed readiness to start financing of twelve projects at present," the Council of Ministers said.
