Countries rejecting supplies from Russia now have to pay extra — Putin

Russian exporters are switching to other markets in their turn but this is not a quick process, time is needed to rebuild logistical chains

NOVO-OGAREVO, October 6. /TASS/. Countries that abandoned supplies from Russia now have to pay the extra money for many commodities, including oil and gas, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday at the meeting on economic matters.

"Economic sectors focusing on exports, primarily to European countries, remain under pressure - it is clear and known to every one - to countries that rejected supplies from Russia and now have to pay the extra money for the whole range of commodities, including oil, gas, metals, and so on," Putin said.

Russian exporters are switching to other markets in their turn but this is not a quick process, time is needed to rebuild logistical chains, the President added.
